Improving Productivity Grant Launches

The second round of the Improving Farm Productivity Grant has opened for initial eligibility checker applications until the 21st March 2024.

The grant has been increased from a 40% contribution to a 50% contribution in this round which aims to improve productivity whilst helping the environment and combating labour difficulties within the sector through introducing technology.

Grant funding for robotic and automated equipment can be for between £25,000 and £500,000 per business.

There is a new 25% grant offer for Solar PV equipment starting at a minimum of £15,000 up to £100,000 meaning a minimum business cost of £60,000. The solar panels must be installed on existing farm building roofs or irrigation reservoirs. This can also be applied for and obtained regardless of whether other elements of farm improvements are gaining grant assistance.

Should you wish to look into this further and complete an eligibility checker application or discuss the options please get in touch as soon as possible. Should you qualify to full application stage you will need to ensure planning permission is obtained before the June 2025 deadline.
